I'm sorry...but that looks like it was used as a little more than only a reference. References usually use the pose, NOT completely copy it, not all the facial features, and the hair...etc. Thats just my opinion though.

2004-08-23 [Kaimee]: so you entered your friends pic in the contest? hold up, woudnt that be against the rules too? if you enter a picture that you alone didnt make, its called a collaboration, unless of course you dont have the artists permission in which case its called theft. If you entered your friends picture that you had alterred you need to post it as a collaboration, with both persons names. If entering it without her permission you need to get it. if entering her pic with or without her permission then it shouldnt be here. not your art :) but either way, youve removed it. good.
